History

Nidec Singapore Pte Ltd was established as a Nidec sales and engineering office in 1989.  Eventually, we began producing super-high precision bearings (pivot assemblies) that support the arm used to drive the HDD magnetic head.  As part of our vision for continuous growth, we have introduced high-end production of Fluid Dynamic Bearings (FDB) with the latest technology.  Our present facility will boost production capacity for the new technology with supporting parts that are produced in-house.  In addition, a Technical Centre shall be established to enable us to develop a continuous and consistent system from development to production.

In view of the rising demand for high capacity HDD spindle motors produced locally in ASEAN, we have already started to organise our production system to meet with the demand.  We shall build a large warehouse to serve as a distribution centre for SEA to facilitate our products delivery to customers on a JIT basis.
